Committee member Dennis Lowe was cool calm and collected during Saturday’s individual stableford, his 40pts was good enough to win A grade from Peter Brien & Sam Cross who both had 37pts. John Young bounced back to form with 32pts to win the scratch.
Steve Dury put the cleaners through the B grade opposition after his 39pts was one shot clear of Bernie Woldhuis and Tony Farr, Steve Johnson signed for the scratch on 22pts.
C grade was definitely the domain of Geoff Coleman who posted 40pts to account for Graham Simpson (39) and David Evans (38) while Paul Barnes finished with the scratch after a solid 19pts.
A three way tie at the top was the A grade scenario as Ron Bender, Michael Meredith and Andy Campbell all had 38pts, eventually Bender triumphed via a countback. 32pts was good enough for Darrell Bourke to win the scratch.
Jim Smail made it two wins in successive weeks thanks to a fine 42pts that gave him the B grade title over Al Heagney (39) and Mark Nelson (38), 20pts picked up the scratch for John Payne.
The 2BBB was a close affair that eventually saw Glyn Daunt and Dean Oxley emerge victorious on a countback over Ian Hart and Steve Thompson after both pairs had 47pts. Two under par was the winning scratch score by Andy Campbell and Brian Weal.
The travelling man Paul Knox parked his rig in the winner’s circle after a brilliant 43pts gave him an easy victory over young gun Harry Tanner and Kevin Burke who both fired 39pts.
