Top Gun Winner 2017

The Top Gun final for 2017 was run on Sunday 20th August. The ten finalists were: Cameron Bull, Jim Smail, Ray Curtis, Danny Ross, Darrun Bruce, Adam Powell, Bernard Woldhuis, Dave Sams, Shannon Ryan, and Kim Taylor.

Starting on the 10th Hole it was Cameron Bull who unfortunately got stuck in the bunker and was the first to be eliminated.

The 11th hole saw Sannon Ryan eliminated when his drive ended in the creek.

Hole 12 required a chip off to decide and it was unfortunately Kim Taylor who finished away and went home.

Darryn Bruce was eliminated when, being the only player not to have a shot, his tee shot finished in a bunker and he narrowly failed to get up and down.

The 14th saw the end of Dave Sams who after a good drive pulled his second into the pine trees behing the 15th tee and had to take a penalty drop.

Adam Powell was the next in trouble on the 15th when his tee shot went onto the Blayney road and he failed to recover.

Ray Curtis unfortunately hit his tee shot on 16 into bushes behind the 17th tee and was subsequently eliminated.

The 17th saw Jimmy Smail with a shot eliminate Danny Ross when they both ended with 5s.

Going down the 18th Bernard Woldhuis pulled his tee shot left, hit a tree with his second, finished short with his 3rd and eventually got down with a 6. Jimmy Smail had casually hit his drive down the middle, his second just short and a chip and 2 putts was good enough for the win.
