It was good to see Darrell Bourke back to his best during Saturday’s stableford event, his 42pts was one shot clear of Andrew Wallace and two clear of Jason Writer. The powerful Phil Campbell was the scratch victor on 36pts.

A three way tie at the top of B grade greeted Glen Buttsworth, David Travis and Ashley Lamb after all three had 38pts, Buttsy was declared the eventual winner on a countback while the scratch went to Fred Hennessy with 25pts.

Gary Tildesley was unstoppable in C grade thanks to a mighty 43pts and a commanding five shot buffer over Harrison Jones and the svelte Mick Leseberg, 19pts picked up the scratch for Martyn Salmon.

Scott Matheson kept his scintillating form of late going with another sub-par performance in compiling 41pts, Mitch Bestwick (40) and Glenn Gardiner (39) rounded out the minor placings. Duntry gun Andy Campbell strolled around in even par to win the scratch.

Matt Loxley made a triumphant return to the game after a layoff to post 46pts and the B grade win from a gutsy Joe Heness (43) and Tim Leahy (40). The best ‘moe’ in the business Andre Schuster was the scratch winner on 23pts.

Loxley completed the daily double with the help of Terry Staines in firing 50pts to win the 2BBB over the pairing of Paul Smith and Campbell (36). The dynamic duo of Kerry Stait and Ross Cowdroy combined well to win the scratch.
