Jim Schumacher was the standout performer during last week’s Monthly medal after firing 66 nett to just hold off the mighty challenge of Wayne ‘Dunwright’ Wright for the B grade title and also the prestigious ‘cock of the course’ for February, the sweet swinging Bob Cooper was the scratch victor on 81.

Darren Small was long and straight all day to record 68 nett and the A grade title, Ryan Sparke and Adrian Haynes both had 70 nett to round out the minor placings. 75 off the stick was enough for Darrell Bourke to win the scratch.

Ryan Ellis and Greg Murray were both tied at the top of C grade at the end of the day after both players had 71 nett, eventually Ellis was given the nod on a countback. Alan Sillett (72) chimed in for third and Ian Hart was declared the scratch champion with 92 off the stick.

Thursday was definitely the day Peter Trevor-Jones intended to shine as attested by his 44pts to win the A grade competition by two strokes over course super Dave Rogers. Brian Walsh was one shot further back in third and the scratch went the way of Scott Matheson with a solid 33pts.

The incredible scoring of late was once again back to the fore courtesy of Chris White’s monumental 48pts, feeling a little hard done by, well back in the straight were Owen Moss (42) and Bill Dickie (41). The sprightly Max Culkin was the premiere scratch player after registering 21pts.

The ride of the day was definitely picked up by Adrian Haynes as he jumped on board the White express to shoot 51pts and the 2BBB win, Glyn Daunt and Dean Oxley were only one shot away in second and the scratch went to Darryn Bruce and Darrell Bourke who fired 34pts.

Brad Brown had a lovely 40pts to win Sunday’s spoils from Paul Brown (39) and Mitch Bestwick (37).
